Rubio Monocoat

To clean Rubio Monocoat furniture, use a damp cloth with plain water for daily messes, or the recommended Rubio Monocoat Soap/Surface Care Spray for tougher spots, always wiping immediately; avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive sponges, or ammonia, as these damage the finish, and allow at least 5 days for the finish to cure before any liquid cleaning. Always follow the manufacturer’s label for application and cleanup.

Daily/Regular Care

  • Dust: Regularly dust with a dry cloth.

  • Spills & Smudges: Wipe spills and moisture immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For slightly more, use a lightly damp cloth with clean water, ensuring it's not dripping wet, and wipe dry.

  • Stubborn Spots: Use Rubio Monocoat Surface Care Spray or dilute Rubio Soap (1 tsp soap per 750ml water in a spray bottle). Spray the surface and wipe dry with a clean cloth .

  • Always follow the manufacturer’s label for application and cleanup.

What to Avoid

  • Harsh Chemicals: No ammonia, bleach, or abrasive cleaners (like Magic Erasers).

  • Excess Water: Never saturate the wood with water.

  • Abrasive Tools: Avoid scrub brushes or rough sponges that can strip the finish.

Important Tips

  • Curing Time: Wait at least 5 days after the furniture is made before using any liquids for cleaning.

  • Maintenance: For deep cleaning or revitalization every few years, use Rubio's Deep Cleaner or Refresh Eco, following product instructions.

  • Always follow the manufacturer’s label for application and cleanup.
