Osmopoly X Oil Finish

Caring for Osmo Polyx-Oil involves regular dry dusting, gentle cleaning with water and Osmo Wash & Care, and occasional refreshing with Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner, avoiding harsh cleaners like bleach or ammonia; for deep wear, apply a thin maintenance coat of Polyx-Oil after light sanding. Always use damp, not wet, cloths, and wipe dry immediately to prevent water damage.

Daily/Regular Care

  • Dust & Debris: Use a microfiber cloth to remove dust.

  • Spills: Wipe up spills immediately to prevent them from soaking in.

Occasional Cleaning (Weekly/As Needed)

  • Dilute: Add a capful of Osmo Wash & Care to a liter of water.

  • Wipe: Use a damp (not soaking wet) cloth with the solution.

  • Dry: Immediately dry the surface with a clean, dry cloth to prevent water from entering joints.

  • Avoid: Do not use steam cleaners or general household cleaners with bleach, ammonia, or chlorine, as they can strip the finish.

Refreshing Worn Areas (Every Few Months/Years)

  • For tired spots: Use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner.

  • Application: Apply a small amount to a lint-free cloth, rub into the area, let it haze, and buff when dry. (Use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner White for Osmo Oil RAW to maintain color).

Repairing Scratches/Deep Wear

  • Light Sanding: Lightly sand the affected area with fine sandpaper (e.g., 150-grit).

  • Clean: Remove dust and clean with denatured alcohol (allow to fully evaporate).

  • Re-apply Oil: Apply a very thin, feathered coat of Polyx-Oil or Osmo Maintenance Oil (a thinner version).

  • Wipe Excess: Wipe off any excess oil and let it dry thoroughly.
