Osmo TopOil

Caring for Osmo TopOil involves regular dry dusting, gentle cleaning with a slightly damp cloth, and mild soap or Osmo Wash & Care when needed, while avoiding harsh chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, or abrasive cleaners. For periodic maintenance, refresh the surface with Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or a thin reapplication of TopOil after light sanding to restore protection and sheen. Always use damp, not wet, cloths, wipe spills promptly, and dry the surface immediately to preserve the finish and protect the wood from moisture and wear

How to Clean and Maintain

  • Daily Cleaning: Use a damp, not wet, cloth with Osmo Wash and Care.

  • Tough Stains: Use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner to remove stubborn stains and rejuvenate the finish.

  • Avoid: Do not use harsh, all-purpose cleaners, which can degrade the oil finish over time.

  • Always follow the manufacturer’s label for application and cleanup.

Important Tips

  • White Surface: If using 3068 Natural, ensure it is applied extremely thinly to avoid a "chalky" white appearance on dark wood.

  • End Grain: For areas with undermount sinks, apply an extra coat to exposed end grain

  • Clean Up: Clean brushes with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner or white spirit.

  • Safety: Dispose of oily cloths safely, as they can self-ignite.
